| July 10, 2011 @ 6:55pm | Hello,
My best guess is that they're referring to one of the many other packages who've ripped off the FlexCMS name over the years. None of ours is Flash/Swish, so I'd have to assume it's not "this" FlexCMS they're talking about. We do have a photo gallery and template system, but I'm thinking we would have heard from or about those developers if they integrated that tightly with our back end.

Swish CMS Template using Flex CMS | July 10, 2011 @ 4:36pm | I've purchased a Swish CMS Template that requires or suggested to use Flex CMS. Do I first install the Flex CMS and once installed in my root directory, can I upload and manipulate and work with the Template from the Admin Panel?
Or do I manipulate the Swish Template locally, then upload into a specific directory?
The template I purchased can be viewed here: http://flash4layouts.com/view-julia-lucas-model-portfolio-swish-cms-template-2844.html Thank you for immediate help. |

| June 21, 2011 @ 5:37pm | Hi Chris,
Very strange. If I had to guess I'd say the hosting company put some sort of a security filter on there and the page contents contains something they're trying to block.

ERROR WHEN SAVING PAGES | June 21, 2011 @ 1:20pm | We get an error when trying to save pages.
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /bennsccflex/index.php/admin/pages-edit-save on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Is this a permissions problem or a server problem?
We have had a lot of problems removing hackers from our hosting account!! and so something may have been reset incorrectly
Regards, Chris |

| June 13, 2011 @ 10:40am | Hi Ahmed,
I don't think that's FlexCMS (this one anyways) that you're using. The URL you sent definitely isn't a FlexCMS site, and the problem you're describing isn't one that could happen with our package. There are no paths to be concerned with in ours, they all run from the same public directory at the root of the site. And any URL changes would be done through the settings table in the database, not any files.
I know there used to also be other packages called FlexCMS located at flexcms.co.uk and flexcms.dk, and by the sounds of it you're looking for FlexyCMS rather than FlexCMS. Perhaps you're using software from one of those companies who stole our name.

Migration of FlexyCMS site | June 13, 2011 @ 4:56am | Hello folks,
I have migrated my flexycms based website to a different host and experiencing the following problems;
1. When I visit the webiste, the index page loads fine but when I try to click on link pages, it keeps saying the file not existing e.g
http://www.onlinetaxrefund.co.uk/user/****
The old site Document Root was set as /home/onlinetax and on this new hosting, I have the Document Root as /home/otr. I have tried editing all files under /var to reflect the /home/otr but looks nothing has changed. Is there another place I have look into to make some editing?
Currently, I have not pulled down the old site so currently when you visit onlinetaxrefund.co.uk, will take you to the old host because I have not had success with the file migration.
Waiting to hear from you folks.
best,
Ahmed |

| May 26, 2011 @ 8:53pm | Hi David,
That was too easy! I was trying to make it much harder <drat> - LOL
Yep, I changed the permission level for Guest to allow posting to the forums and it did indeed let me do it as guest. I, like you, am sure we'll get a bunch of unwanted posts and spam ... but some clients ... well, you know
Hugs and thanks a-pleanty! Wolf |

| May 26, 2011 @ 9:38am | I see it here. Just to make sure we're in the same place, I'm talking about "Manage Permission Levels", then checking the box for "Post Messages and Create Topics" under the Guests / 0 level.
But I don't know that it's going to work. I seem to recall this was mentioned way back when, and though I don't remember if it actually works to allow guests to post, I know the one issue you're going to have is unwanted posts - both human and automated.
