Known Problems With Current VersionApril 19, 2009 @ 7:05pm
The following problems are known to affect sites running the latest version of FlexCMS. We are working to correct these issues, and they will be removed from this list when solutions have been released.

1 - Sites with a large amount of content or low PHP memory limits may experience problems using the FlexCMS backup function. If the backup file being created is larger than the amount of memory PHP is allowed to allocate the backup will fail and you will receive an error message to that effect.

2 - File Manager and Manage Code Snippets options do not show in Control Panel unless Menu Blocks or Pages permissions are also granted. A fix for this is available if required, please contact us.

Minor Bugs Fixed & Features Added - Apr 19, 2009April 19, 2009 @ 7:00pm
Several minor bugs have been fixed in the latest release of FlexCMS. Any downloads of the 'full' or 'upgrade' packages before April 19, 2009 @ 6:40pm EDT should be downloaded again, and any installations made from those files should be updated if you experience or wish to avoid any of the problems below.

The fixes and features included are as follows;

- inc-core-admin-filemanager-functions.php (Language Pack Addition) - Scan For Changes function reworked to prevent timing out after reaching the PHP script execution time limit when importing large amounts of files and folders.

- inc-core-admin-filemanager.php - Maximum upload file size number now displayed correctly when FlexCMS limit lower than PHP's. The limit was calculated correctly, but PHP's limit was always displayed even if it wasn't the limit being used. FlexCMS reads PHP's file upload limit along with its own and uses the lower of the two.

- inc-core-admin-filemanager.php - Maximum file size displayed below the file upload box when uploading directly from the HTML editor.

- inc-core-admin-preferences.php, inc-core-admin-preferences-save.php (Language Pack Addition) - Option added to modify the maximum file size for uploading through the File Manager.

- inc-cl-idx.php - Holidays and events now line up on the correct day when the server is within Daylight Saving Time.

- inc-core-admin-settings.php - Timezone dropdown now defaults to current setting correctly when the server is within Daylight Saving Time.

- inc-core-admin-blocks-bw_linkstopages.php - Double quotes and ampersands now correctly displayed in the Header, Footer, and Spacer sections when editing Block Wizard Links To Pages blocks.

- inc-lm-idx.php - Links category descriptions now also display on the page along with the links in that category, instead of just in the listing for the category in its parent.

- /fckeditor/fckconfig.js - HTML editor should now work correctly on browsers set to languages other than English. Previously they produced JavaScript errors and the editor was not displayed, just a white box. You may need to clear your browser's cache after replacing this file.

- Upgrade Script, upgrade.php - Importing of files and folders for File Manager moved to separate area at the end after the rest of the upgrade process has been completed. Improvements to prevent timing out on large amounts of files and folders also added.

To apply any or all of these fixes to a current installation, download the "upgrade" package and replace just those files. If you wish you can also upload all the files in the "upgrade" package (except the upgrade.php file itself). There are no database changes required. None of these deal with any security issues, so updating only needs to be done as required for the features listed above.

Koen,

I think I've nailed down the problem you were having. Open up your /fckeditor/fckconfig.js file and change line 61 from "true" to "false". Then save and upload back to your site, clear your browser's cache, and try to view the editor again.

Let us know if that works for you.

Koen,

We've still not been able to duplicate your problem anywhere to further diagnose it. When you try to view it do you get any Javascript errors? Firefox gives the most useful error messages, you can find them by going to Tools and then Error Console. Clear out what's already in there and then go to one of the areas where you should see the editor, and let us know if anything comes up there.

Hi Koen,

As you know, we've been unable to duplicate the problems you seem to be experiencing with the editor. In an effort to help you one step further, please click here and let us know if you see the editor.

If your answer is no, then we have to put the ball back in your court again as it could be settings on your pc (firewall, anti-virus, etc.) that is keeping the editor from working.

Again, please let us know your results after you visit the above site.

Thanks!

Kel
