How to add Plugins for editor?April 8, 2009 @ 3:05am
Hello,

I like the changes of your editor with filemanager but what are the url uploading supported? On your previous editor im not satisfy with the functionality thats why i use TinyMCE Editor because what i like is they are supported the url uploading from youtube, google, vimeo, and so on..

But i am much comfortable with your New Editor if you are going to support that url uploading, i try to configure it out using the guide from the website of fckeditor but many code are modify.

Can you help to the following problem i encountered
- supporting the url uploading form youtube, google, vimeo and so on.

- or if there something downloadable plugins and help me how to install it.

Thank you so much. More Power

Minor Bug Fixed - Apr 8, 2009April 8, 2009 @ 12:10am
A minor bug has been fixed in the latest release of FlexCMS. Any downloads of the 'full' or 'upgrade' packages before April 8, 2009 @ 12:07 am EDT should be downloaded again, and any installations made from those files should be updated if you experience or wish to avoid the problem below.

The fix included is as follows;

- inc-core-admin-filemanager-functions.php - Thumbnails not correctly created on new file uploads after changes made with previous release.

To apply fix to a current installation, download the "upgrade" package and replace just that file. If you wish you can also upload all the files in the "upgrade" package (except the upgrade.php file itself). There are no database changes required. None of these deal with any security issues, so updating only needs to be done as required for the features listed above.

thinkhost redeems its ties to flex...and me!April 7, 2009 @ 5:09pm
All I can say is that Thinkhost has almost as great help as FlexCMS...once the problem is identified as being on their end of the arrangement (even with their uptime issues they are great hosting). I was incredibly annoyed at the security hoo-ha that was interrupting my ability to use FlexCMS with their services because I love FlexCMS and run a fair number of installs!!...but, I happily report that Thinkhost has fixed their issues with the PHP enabled blocks and I am a happy camper.

Minor Bugs Fixed - Apr 5, 2009April 5, 2009 @ 10:13pm
Several minor bugs have been fixed in the latest release of FlexCMS. Any downloads of the 'full' or 'upgrade' packages before April 5, 2009 @ 8:59 pm EDT should be downloaded again, and any installations made from those files should be updated if you experience or wish to avoid any of the problems below.

The fixes included are as follows;

- inc-core-admin-editor-link2.php - Pages and articles with quotes in their names caused the link dropdown to not appear in the file manager.

- inc-core-admin-filemanager-functions.php - Workaround added to compensate for bug in PHP getimagesize() function not handling certain file types correctly.

- Upgrade Script, upgrade.php - Option added to upgrade script to allow bypassing of file & folder import if issues are still encountered.

To apply any or all of these fixes to a current installation, download the "upgrade" package and replace just those files. If you wish you can also upload all the files in the "upgrade" package (except the upgrade.php file itself). There are no database changes required. None of these deal with any security issues, so updating only needs to be done as required for the features listed above.

Update: Maintenance mode has been added to FlexCMS v3.0!

You can customize the message visitors see while the site is in MM with your logo and some text or any HTML you like. The Management Login link is still visible, and users can be granted permission to login and bypass it.

Donna,

Yes, go ahead and delete those files (v3.0.data, v3.0.map, v3.0.sql, install.php), they're not needed for anything after the installation has been completed.

Thanks for the help! I'll have to start thinking about how to proceed with hubby's site, it's getting too big for me to handle (400+ MB) but hosting renewal is due in a month.

One more question on my installation, should the v3.0.data (it's 5,520 KB),v3.0.map and install files be left on the server? I can't remember back to when I did a new installation.

Koen,

We tried to view the HTML editor on your site using the account you sent and were able to do so without any problems. We tested it on IE 6, IE 7, and FireFox 3, and it functioned correctly on all of them.

Do you have anything on your system that might be blocking it, such as an aggressive antivirus package, ad removal software, restrictive browser security settings, etc?

Donna,

You have a few options; Obviously the first would be to just do a new install and move your content over -- depending on the size and complexity of the site that might be fairly easy or a huge nightmare. You could also move your hosting to our servers or elsewhere -- I can guarantee you won't have a problem like that with ours, and most other providers shouldn't have that problem. And finally, we also offer our services for a very reasonable rate to migrate your site over to the new version through other means.
