That's going to depend on a ton of different variables. Some phones have full featured browsers that will upload images from within the phone's flash memory, I know mine (Android Samsung Nexus S) has worked for that.

Hi Ray,

Ya now that you mention that I think I've done that before too. Next time we're working in that area I'll see if we can include an option for the link to open in a new window.

An experience...August 11, 2012 @ 11:38am
Not really a support request, more an observation and something for my fellow adventurists to be aware of...
:-)

I had a Menu Block setup, with one of the links going to a PDF file. As a personal preference I have my PDF's open in a new window so the user keeps the originating page open and is more likely to visit other pages.

This link opened the PDF in the same browser window causing users to have to press the browser back button to get back to the site.

Knowing that FlexCMS allows me to include live HTML code in a wide variety of places, I thought I'd be clever and include

Code

,target=_blank

(proper quotes removed for the editor)

at the end of the link in my block. (all the while "thinking" it probably wouldn't work) Well, obviously it didn't work. But when I went back to delete the link... I was unable to edit ANY links in the block!

I KNOW, I KNOW, the best way to do it would have been to use a custom block and then I would have had a place to specify the extra HTML code... but you know... sometime we take shortcuts and all...
:-{ LOL

The long and short of it is, I ended up having to duplicate the links in a Custom Block and delete the old Menu Block because I could no longer edit it.

Hi Ray,

I think we had that there for a related URL from a long time ago. I don't believe it does anything any longer.

cl-events tableJuly 30, 2012 @ 8:43pm
Hi Dave,

Hope you're doing well and in good spirits!

I'm nosing around creating some custom calendar functions for a site and have a question about the LINK column in the CL-EVENTS table...

It doesn't appear to be referenced in any of the control panel calendar pages that I can tell...
- Manage Calendar Events
- Modify Calendar Preferences
- Modify Calendar Colors

Do you have special plans for it in the future?

Thanks,
Wolf

Depreciated function: split()May 11, 2012 @ 7:09pm
Hi Dave, Otter,

I just installed a local version of the latest flexcms. I'm using LAMP installation (XAMPP) with PHP Version 5.3.5

During the installation I received following error:

------------------------

Code

FlexCMS v3.2.1
May 11, 2010

Database Successfully Connected! Running MySQL Version 5.5.8

Directories Created: 55

Files Created: 1061

Deprecated: Function split() is deprecated in C:\xampp\htdocs\flexcms\install.php on line 626
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 1

--------------------

I'm sure there's a simple fix... can you assist?

Thanks!
Wolf
