it cannot find index.html and if you cursor over the "home" in the menu you see that it is linking to www.gmcbennington.info/bennsccflex/index.php/pages/index.html
then if you click on (say) missions and view that page then cursor over "home" in menu it now reads www.gmcbennington.info/bennsccflex/index.php/pages/home.html
which is what the menu block calls
questions
(a) how can the menu block instruction change????
(b) how do I recover the home page index.htm to start that again
I think at one time I mistakenly renamed the index page

OK solved problem (caching)

Sorry
It appears that the problem was a caching problem with AOL Explorer as I found it worked OK with IE, Firefox etc
So worked OK with AOL Browser once I cleared temp files
