Update (Upgrade) Instructions | June 2, 2006 @ 6:39pm | Updating FlexCMS from 1.3, 1.3.1 to 2.0
1) Extract all the files contained within the update downlaod to a location on your system. Be sure that the extraction program uses its feature to preserve the directory structure. If after you extract the files you don?t have an ?images? folder inside the folder you extracted the files to, go back and verify that your extraction program is preserving the directory structure.
2) It?s highly recommended that you backup any important data from your FlexCMS site. For a live site, both the database and source files should be backed up. Although this update has been tested extensively, unforeseen errors are still possible.
3) Upload the files and folders contained in the installation package (not including this file) to the main source directory of your FlexCMS installation, overwriting any existing files with the same name. 4) Run the ?update.php? file from your web browser and follow the instructions.
NOTE: If you have chosen to rename your core file to something else, be sure to rename the update index to the name you chose instead.
As always, if you need assistance with the installation or usage of this software, please review our support forums and open a topic under General Support Requests if needed.
